What’s going on at the job site?

Here you can see Alex and Drew climbing on the forms for our foundation footing. Spearchucker Alex is standing on the future garage slab. Drew is climbing a column from the basement. Alex narrowly missed Drew when he hurled the stake in his hand.

Matt and the deer

Tonight a family of deer was grazing in the woods directly outside our kitchen window as we ate dinner. Matt saw one of them and said, “Look! A cow!” We told him it was a deer. Then a little spotted fawn darted out of the underbrush with its gangly legs splaying about. Matt called it a giraffe. He is communicating very well these days, but we need to get that child to a zoo!
