My First Post After Our Move
I’ve blogged a million times in my mind, and so much has happened since I last posted that there is no way to recapture it all, but here are a few tidbits.
MOMMY, TORI’S KISSING A BAD GUY
Tori found Alex’s toy Emporer Zurg, the sworn enemy of Buzz Light year. This toy has an evil laugh, but Tori recognized it as lauging and tried a sort of half hearted laugh back, and then she did what she does with all “dolls,” she kissed him. Alex came rushing to me to report, “Mommy, Tori’s kissing a bad guy!”
MY SOUTHERN BELLE
Tori figured out today that “bye-bye” goes with hand waving, and she was quite proud of herself. She kept doing it over and over all day, whether or not we were leaving. The cute thing is that she says “bu-bah” – very southern sounding!
TORI’S SECOND HAIR CUT
The shocking thing is that she actually likes getting her hair cut! This is the first Taylor child that likes to sit still in a chair so that a total stranger can touch his/her hair/head! But, the big news is that she got bangs today! We kept feeling like she didn’t look very nice and neat with hair in her face when her hairbows fell out, and so this seemed to be the solution. Although she is absolutely precious, no matter what her hair looks like, Chris and I are not sure that I made the right decision! That’s right, Chris really cares about whether or not his daughter has bangs!
WE LOVE THE WOODS
We are so thankful for our new setting. The boys and Tori love to play outside. I must say that as much as Tori loves to play with baby dolls and pretend like she’s helping me clean and dust and fold laundry, she doesn’t mind a bit crawling around outside and getting filthy with her brothers!
We finally started back to school this week and after a rough first day, we are really enjoying the new set up here. Matt continues to love and thrive in pre-school. Alex is loving soccer, and Drew is waiting to begin competitive swimming. Tori is still waiting to walk. She is close! Any day now she could decide that walking was really easier than crawling!
